Pin Seeker Games

The Pin Seekers Games will be 9-hole games! All players will be playing their own ball on every hole and there will be individual medalist honors in all our Pin Seekers Games! Each weekly game will have a unique aspect to it along with a challenge that will be the first tie breaker used! If there still is a tie, we will be using a SCORECARD PLAYOFF.  There will be individual skill challenges at each of our events and listed on the “notice to contestants” sheet at the sign in table.  Here are some of the unique aspects for Pin Seekers Games we will be choosing from each season:

• TRIFECTA- Format: 9 Hole Game with a twist!  Every third hole are the challenges
  • TRIFECTA CHALLENGE –  The trifecta consists of the following;
    • Hitting their tee shot on the side you state to other team (Prepare for your next shot), and
    • Don’t be short sided on the green (Pay attention to where the flag is), and
    • Staying out of trouble (Trees, Water, Sand Traps, OB)(However, if you still manage to par the hole, the challenge is still on).
    • The individual with the lowest overall score is the winner.
• PRESSURE – FORMAT: 9 Hole Game with a twist! Players must achieve each part to complete the challenge.
  • PRESSURE CHALLENGE – The challenge consists of the following;
    • Hitting a minimum of 3 tee shots in the fairway (Not including Par 3’s), and
    • Saving par a minimum of 2 times when missing the green in regulation, and
    • Playing the round without hitting a sand trap. (However, if you hit in the sand trap and save par, then the challenge is still on)
    • The individual with the lowest overall score is the winner.
• STRIKE THREE – FORMAT: 9 Hole Game with a twist! Shooting Stars Golf will be drawing three cards and at the end of the round of golf, the envelope will be opened to reveal.  Find these three-hole scores … and erase them. Add up your score without those three holes, and that’s your Strike Three score.
  • STRIKE THREE CHALLENGE –  Challenge Holes will be revealed prior to your first shot.  The Strike Three Challenge consists of:
    • No three putts for the round, and
    • No balls out of bounds, and
    • Playing the round without hitting a sand trap. (However, if you hit in the sand trap and save par, then the challenge is still on)
    • The player with the lowest overall strike three score is the winner.
• STRATEGY– FORMAT: 9 Hole Game with a twist! Players must achieve each part to complete the challenge for the team.
  • STRATEGY CHALLENGE – The challenge consists of the following;
    • The player must either make a putt that is longer than the length of the flagstick; or stop an approach shot inside the length of the flagstick (Minimum of 100 yards +), and
    • Players must land their tee shot on a certain side of the hole depending on where the flag is located; (Don’t be short sided)

    • The player with the lowest overall score is the winner
